2009 League Rules
Franchise ownership
Fees for the 2008 season will be $150.00 per franchise and will be due in full
on draft day.
The Ownership fees are calculated as follows:
1. Franchise fee - $25.00 that includes (Administrative):
a) League Internet access, phone cost, web hosting, August through January
b) Paper cost, ink cartridges, draft day snacks and beverages.
c) League software
d) Yearly dues of $125.00
e) 10% of the total money will go to the commissioner.
2. Transaction fees for free agency and inter-team trading will be assessed according to the following fee schedule:
a) Preseason $2.00 sign / release a player
b) Weeks 1 to 3 $3.00 sign / release a player
c) Weeks 4 to 6 - $4.00 sign / release a player
d) Weeks 7to 13 - $5.00 sign / release a player
e) Weeks 14 & 15 - $10.00 sign / release a player
f) Week 16 - $10.00 sign / release a player

Inter team trading will only be allowed
preseason to week 9 of the regular season. You can trade any player in week 9
until they start their game for that week then that player is dead.
a) Preseason begins July 15th
b) Regular season is the NFL’s weeks 1 through 13
c) No two teams can trade players back and
forth at any time
* even a franchise player at the end of the 3 year term
1. The league’s week begins at 12:00 midnight Monday (or after the Monday night game which ever is the later) Free agency trades for the new week cannot be made before the week begins.

If your player or the player you want
game has started (the NFL game) that player is not eligible (you cannot drop a
player after he starts a game)
3. When requesting a player transaction or trade please give the following info:
a) Team Name
b) Name of player and position being dropped / traded
c) Name of player, position and current NFL team being signed ( please give 3 choices of a player you want or make it clear of what you want me to do!! Example: Drop R. Moss WR pick up M. Harrison WR Indy only do this trade if Harrison is available or give me other choices of who you want and again make it clear of what I should do if all the player you requested are gone!! If I’m not given the choices and ALL the players are gone I will still drop the player you said to drop. I can’t manage your team so please make it very clear of what you want me to do!! PLEASE!!
d) Transactions requested after 12:01am Tuesday (After the Monday night game) to 4:59pm Wednesday will be given on the Waiver Priority order (Weekly score, league standing, and weekly points will determine the Waiver order. You will be aloud to take up to 2 players from each position during the waiver period.
e) As of 5:00pm Wednesday it is first come first serve. Please use email or leave a message on my HOME 908-689-6124 which has a day and time stamp!! Only call my cell phone in case of emergency. 973-223-6885
f) Players dropped will be available the next week. They DO NOT have to sit a week. They will not be available the week they are dropped.
a) Schedules are based on the number of teams in the league and in your conference. The software not the commissioner determines Head to Head schedules.
b) Games are played as Head to Head competition, with the winner being determined by the number of total points scored by all active starting players.
c) Weeks 1 through 13 are the regular season. With weeks 14 and 15 being the playoffs and week 16 being the Championship Game.
d) Head to head ties will be as follows:
1) Total non starting points
2) Head to Head W/L record
3) Head to Head games total points
4) Common games record
5) Common games total points
6) Coin toss
a) Post season will begin at the conclusion of the leagues regular season.
b) Each conference Champion will have an automatic bye during the first round (or if one conference the top 2 teams). Only 6 teams (seeds) will enter the playoffs. This will include 2 conference champions and 4 wild card teams (2 from each conference) single loss elimination.
c) The Championship game will be played week 16 of the NFL regular season
d) At the conclusion of the regular season the Conference Champion will receive 10% of the total league fund. The remaining balance will determined by the playoff schedule
The North Jersey Fantasy Football League is designed as a keeper league. Each team will have the right to name one (1) franchise player. The player is protected and cannot be drafted by any expansion team. A team can only keep a Franchise player for 3 years (that includes the first year you get the player even if you get the player via a trade or off the waiver wire)
a) The franchise player must be named 3 weeks prior to the draft. (deadline July 29th midnight)
b) The franchise player’s contract is guaranteed for 3rd years. At the end of the 3rdth year the player becomes a free agent. You will be allowed to trade your franchise for another franchise player only once. The 2 teams involved in that trade WILL NOT be allowed to trade the same 2 players again!!
c) If your franchise player retires or is injured before the start of the regular season you get no compensation. (after July 29th)
d) The draft will be held on Sunday August 26th 10:30am Location Fran's house. 65 Cornish St Washington NJ 07882
e) If you are not at the draft you do not have a team!!
f) The Draft order is determined by your point standing in last years regular season (Week 13)
g) The draft order is TB/BT top to bottom – bottom to top
h) Each team will have three (3) minutes to make selection.
i) In the event a player has to be released during the draft that player is immediately available.
No teams will be added after the expansion draft. A change in ownership does not designate an expansion team.
The expansion draft order will be determined by a random draw.
Each expansion team will make one (1) expansion pick. (Franchise player)
The expansion teams will then be at the end of the first round. TB/BT (meaning if you had the first pick in the expansion draft you will have the last pick in the first round)
All teams must submit a starting roster ½ hour before kick off. (if a Thursday or Saturday game is played YOU must start any player in those games ½ hour before the start of the game…..the rest of your lineup can be put in on Sunday 1/2 hour before kick off) Note: in our league you have to have your player a 1/2 hour before the start of the game. Even if it is a 4pm start or a Monday night game. Be careful because if you wait to start a player for a Monday night game and don't get him in within the 1/2 hour dead line you will get a "0" for that spot. I prefer you to use email WHEN EVER POSSIBLE so I have a time and date stamp on it.
If you do not put in a lineup by email or phone I will just use you starting lineup from last week. Only once!! If you fail to put a lineup in for 2 weeks in a row your team will be removed and no refund will be given!! We will then use the league average as the score for that team for the remainder of the season. The most important thing about this is even if your team is not in the running for a playoff spot the other teams in the league need you to put your best team possible in each week.
All teams must stay current with their accounts.
Accounts will NOT go over $30.00. If it does your team will be frozen until you get your account up to date. If money is owed to the league the commissioner will make the best effort to collect. This is an adult MEN league. I expect all to keep accounts current. If a team does not pay all money owed the team will not be invited back next year!!
